Next, we will give some measurements to help you out with selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top of receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 12-1/2 inches and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the outside edge of the bumper, is going to be 4-1/4 inches. Today we are working on a 2002 Pontiac Montana, we will be installing Hidden Hitch part number 87410. This will also be comparable to Draw-Tite hitch part number 75278. Here are a couple measurements that will assist you in ing accessories for your trailer hitch. Items such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 5 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 11-1/4inches. Today we are going to be installing Curt hitch part number 13336 on a 2004 Pontiac Montana. All right, we are underneath the vehicle, and we are looking at the passengers side frame rail. You can see here at the bottom we have got three existing bolts in the frame. We are going to be removing those. And those weld nuts in the frame are going to be providing our three attaching points here at the bottom of the frame. And that will be the same on both sides of the vehicle. You can see also on the side of the frame we have got this hole just below this square slot. We are also going to be putting a bolt and block into the frame and pulling it out this way, and that will provide an attaching point on the side of the frame. And again, that will be the same on both sides of the vehicle. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2005 Pontiac Montana

Today on this 2005 Pontiac Montana, we will be installing Hidden Hitch part number 87410. This installation will also apply to Draw-Tite hitch part number 75278. We are underneath the vehicle looking at the passenger side, you can see we have an exhaust bracket that is held into place here with two bolts. We are going to be removing those bolts and using the weld nuts in the frame as two attaching points for the trailer hitch. With this being a short, wheel base model, we actually have a third weld nut here, just forward of the two that were holding the exhaust in place. Except we are going to use that as our forward most attaching point :36 more
